EASTER CAMPING WEEKEND
We arrived on Friday around midday at the Battlesbridge site. We had booked the marquee and Scott tried out the clubs new disco equipment which proved to us it worked ok. We had the disco as evening entertainment. Our security people, with the help of club members, kept the bonfires going every night from old leaflets and other materials.
We had an Easter egg hunt for the children and on Easter Sunday Carl brought his double decker bus for an excursion to Chatham historic dockyard. Sadly there were not many takers as we had to leave quite early in the morning. I was really looking forward to seeing the view from the Queen Elizabeth bridge from the top deck of the bus but as luck would have it the bridge was covered in thick fog. Anyway for anyone who has not been to the dockyard you missed a good day. There were lots to see from trains to submarines. It was a lovely day out shame most campers were sleeping when we left.
