Due to the fact that the organiser of this event didn’t get back to Brian until it was too late (he had swine flu), we did not have a club stand at this show, so we went anyway.  It was just Brian, Scott, Sarah and I in the Campervan.

The show was very small with a few individual entries and one club, the Southend and District.  During the day there were history tours of the Fort, which were interesting.  It took you through the tunnels and up onto the roof.  On a clear day you can see Southend, or the oil refinery at Coryton, he, he.

You could also visit the two Museums that covered all the Armed Services.  There was also a selection of military vehicles.  There would have been more but some had gone to another show, how dare they!

The van was a hit with the judges, but not much of a one to win anything.  The prizes went to two Ford Cortina’s. 

Even though it was a small show it was fun and we had a few laughs.  Thanks to Brian again.
