enfield pageant of motoring
We had a good turnout at this regular event and out of 26 passes issued, 24 members VW’s were on our club stand throughout the weekend. We had a very good selection of cars, maybe it was due to the glorious weather - we only had 10 minutes of rain on the Monday morning.
This a very big show with lots of auto-jumble, food stalls and also a funfair. I think most of the Classic Car clubs were in attendance. In all, a very busy show.
The club came 2nd place in the ‘Best Club Stand’ category and received a cheque for £150. This is a first for us to actually win a cash prize, which has gone into the club funds. A few years ago we won ‘Best Club Stand’ at Knebworth Classic Car Show but all we received was a shield and some polish.
Overall, we had a very good weekend and will look forward to return again next year.
