ELEMENTAL

This years’ show was put on by members of Spitterz VW club and I think they did very well.  Well done Dave (i.e. Techno Hippy).

On the Friday we drove up in a convoy of two Bays along the M25 and when we got to the M11 sign the windscreen shattered at 60mph!  This was no fun and I punched it out.  I quickly decided to carry on to the show where our members rallied around and in next to no time the front of the van was encased in cardboard and parked halfway in the Gazebo.  Lynne and I managed to sleep alright and were not too cold but glad the rain kept away.

On Saturday afternoon, club member Robin arrived with a windscreen and Stewart (aka Dr Stew) put the windscreen in for me.  Then Philip cleaned the windscreen as Robin said it was in his garden for about 10 years.  This was a good team effort from our club members and it makes me proud to be in a club.  My thanks goes out to all those who helped me in my time of need.  It was great to sleep the second night knowing that the Bay was ok. 

Well enough of my troubles, the club had a nice display with old and new members enjoying the show.  This was a nice chilled out event with loads of bands for entertainment, a small show which gets better every year.
